Work / Community

Community

Organisations whose work is people: chaplains at a port, lawyers on remote outreach, youth and aged care in a Pilbara town. We go to where the work happens.

Pilbara Community Legal Service, Jigalong

We travelled with the PCLS outreach team to Jigalong, a remote Martu community in the East Pilbara. We filmed the staff interviews in a dry riverbed outside town, printed portraits of the children on the spot, and stayed until the boys came out to play footy barefoot on the red oval.

What we make for community

Documentary film

Interviews with staff and the people they serve, filmed where the work happens, including remote communities.

Photography

Portraits and reportage of programs and places, for annual reports, websites and social channels.

Prints on the day

On remote shoots we can print portraits on the spot, so people have their photo the same day.

Mission to Seafarers, Port Hedland

The Mission to Seafarers looks after the crews of the bulk carriers that load in Port Hedland, many of them far from home. We went out on the harbour launch to the ships, and photographed the Seafarers Centre, its chapel and the people who run it.
