Reconciliation March 2025: Capturing Community Unity in Gosford

On Thursday, 29 May 2025, the Central Coast community came together to celebrate National Reconciliation Week with the Reconciliation March organised by Coast Shelter. This significant event aimed to reflect on the shared history, acknowledge the present, and work towards a united future under the theme "Bridging Now to Next."

The march commenced at Coast Shelter's head office on Mann Street, Gosford, at 9:30 AM, with participants walking through the town centre to Industree Group Stadium. At 10:00 AM, the gathering culminated in a cultural celebration featuring a powerful Acknowledgement of Country, traditional song and dance, and a performance on the Yidaki (didgeridoo).

This event was a testament to the community's commitment to reconciliation, bringing together individuals from various backgrounds to honour First Nations cultures and strengthen community bonds.
